Woman robbed while gathering toys for infant patients

A woman getting toys for an infant patient was robbed on Wednesday, Dec. 8, New Orleans Police said.

The robbery happened in the 300 block of Crystal Street about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police said the woman backed her 2006 Honda CRV into the driveway of the home to gather toys for an infant patient.

However, she was stopped by two men who demanded money and took the woman’s vehicle and fled.

Police describe the men as two African-American men. Police said one of the robbers was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 180 pounds with a dark complexions and thick dark lips, 22 to 27 years old. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a tan hooded sweatshirt.

The other robber was described by police as 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slim build, weighing about 185 pounds. Police said he was last seen wearing a light-colored hooded jacket with dark sunglasses and a blue bandana that covered his nose and mouth.
