Lafayette Parish, La — On Saturday April 28, shortly after 2:00 p.m., Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of Kentucky Lane in Lafayette Parish.
Deputies learned that Jarrell Burrle, 20, alleged that her mother, Vachella Jones, 41, had struck her in the left arm with the handle of a broom stick.
Deputies found bruising and swelling on the arm of the victim and noted that the broom handle had been damaged.
The disturbance was initiated because Jones accused Burrle of not keeping the house clean.
Jones was arrested for one count of Aggravated Battery and later released on a bond of $2,500.00.
