Woman charged with felony hit-and-run for causing crash that killed pedestrian

Police have arrested a 30-year-old woman for allegedly causing a crash that killed a man.

The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Chasitie Adams of Baton Rouge on Friday, July 26. She’s charged with felony Hit-and-Run.

The crash happened on Thursday, July 25 on Old Hammond Highway near Blvd. D’Province. Investigators believe Adams hit Sothy Lieu, 40, as he attempted to cross the street on foot.

Adams’ grey Volkswagon Jetta was found Friday evening abandoned in a parking lot near the 9200 block of Florida Blvd. near Monterey Blvd. Detectives located the vehicle due to information gathered during hte investigation.
