BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The Attorney General's Office says a woman who'd been filing fake Medicaid claims, has been arrested.
Keisha Hawkins, 34, from Avondale surrendered to investigators. They say the personal care attendant submitted timesheets, stating she'd been a caregiver to a Medicaid patient. But this was at the same time the patient was being treated in a hospital.
Hawkins was locked up in East Baton Rouge Parish on thirteen charges of Medicaid fraud.
