Woman accused of stabbing victim multiple times may have fled to Houston

Police are looking for a 25-year-old woman who is accused of stabbing a person multiple times over the weekend. They believe she may have fled to the Houston area.

The New Orleans Police Department has issued a warrant for the arrest of Cheralynn Peterson. She is accused of Attempted Second-Degree Murder.

Officials believe Peterson stabbed the female victim in the neck, back, shoulder and arm. It happened at roughly 2:00 a.m. near the intersection of North Peters and Beinville Streets on Sunday, July 14.

Peterson is described as a black female, 5’7” tall, with a thin build, and braided hair. She has prior arrests for Theft, Simple Battery, Possession of Narcotics, Criminal Damage to Property and Disturbing the Peace.
