KENTWOOD, LA (NBC33) — A Kentwood woman was arrested because investigators now believe she’s involved with the murder of her husband, who was shot to death back in 2008.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Brooklyn “Becc” Huber-Brown, 34, on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and charged her with Second-Degree Murder.
On April 9, 2008 Christopher Slater Brown, 33, was found shot to death at his home located on South Lewiston Road in Kentwood. He was asleep in his bed when the gunman entered the room and shot him. Reports indicate that Brooklyn was in the home at the time of the incident, which happened just before midnight.
Brooklyn reportedly identified Aubrey Williams Sikes, a family friend, as the shooter. Sikes was arrested and charged with First-Degree Murder and Aggravated Burglary. He is currently serving a life sentence after being charged and convicted with Brown’s murder.
The Sheriff’s Department has not released any additional information related to the new evidence implicating Brooklyn’s involvement in the incident.
“This investigation is on-going therefore no additional information related to this case will be released at this time,” official release from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.
