Woman accused of helping man who shot his pregnant ex-girlfriend

GONZALES, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: Tiffany Victor turned herself in to authorities on Monday, Aug. 19. She was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
ORIGINAL: A 27-year-old woman is wanted in connection to the shooting of a pregnant woman. The woman’s ex-boyfriend, Cowan Collins, 27, was already arrested for the crime.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that Tiffany Victor of Laplace is wanted for Accessory After the Face of Attempted First-Degree Murder and Feticide. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
The shooting happened at roughly 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14. The victim, who was 8-months pregnant, was shot twice as she attempted to leave her home in Gonzales. She managed to escape by getting in her car and driving off.
The victim crashed her car at the intersection of Highway 621 and Orleans Drive. When emergency responders arrived on scene they learned that she had a gunshot wound to her chest and arm.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she had an emergency delivery of the baby and underwent surgery for her wounds. Both she and her baby are reportedly in stable condition and are expected to survive.
Collins was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder, Attempted First-Degree Feticide, and Illegal Use of a Weapon. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail. His bond was set at $550,000.
