The Baker Police Department has released a sketch of a suspect who is wanted for the attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl.

Officials say the alleged abduction occurred at roughly 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 2.

“The teen was going to the library, but it was closed because of the holiday, so she was walking home,” Chief Mike Knaps, Baker Police Department, said. “A gentleman rode up in his vehicle beside her and asked her if she needed a ride home. She said no. He then drove forward and positioned his vehicle to block her. He got out of the car and grabbed her by the arm and tried to pull her towards his vehicle.”

The victim struggled with the man and was able to break free. When she ran off, he got back in his vehicle and drove in the opposite direction.

“She said he was driving a silver SUV and it had letters that spelled Rodeo on the back window,” Chief Knaps explained.

The suspect is described as a light-colored black male with his hair cut in a Mohawk.
