Hit-and-run driver responsible for death of 40-year-old pedestrian

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Chasitie Adams of Baton Rouge on Friday, July 26. She’s charged with felony Hit-and-Run.
ORIGINAL: Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who is responsible for killing a pedestrian on Old Hammond Highway.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the crash happened at roughly 10:00 p.m. just west of Blvd D’Province. We’re told a vehicle was attempting to let Sothy Lieu, 40, cross the street on foot. However, the suspect’s vehicle went around the stopped car and hit Lieu.
Lieu was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
Police are searching for a white, or possibly grey, sedan. According to the witness, the drive is possibly a female.
