WANTED: Hammond bank robber passes note to teller, casually walks out with cash
HAMMOND, LA (NBC33) — Police are working to track down a man who robbed the First Guaranty Bank in Hammond on Saturday, June 15.
The Hammond Police Department reports that the suspect entered the bank at around 11:50 a.m. He handed the teller a note stating that he was robbing the bank and that he had a gun.
After reading the note, the suspect took it back from the teller. He received the money and casually walked out.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8” tall, 150 lbs, and in his 50s. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, black baseball cap with grey lettering, had short hair, earrings in both ears, and was wearing eye glasses. He was seen driving an early 90’s dark red or maroon Dodge Dakota with black railing and black bed liner. The license plate was covered.
