WANTED: CVS robber uses note to demand money

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Detectives are looking for a man seen robbing the CVS located at 9608 Jefferson Hwy. this morning at approximately 1:00 a.m.

According to reports, a black male entered the store, and approached the checkout counter to purchase a drink. He handed the clerk a piece of paper with a note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, he exited the store and was seen fleeing in a brown, late-model Chevrolet Impala, possibly a Chevrolet Malibu with stock wheels.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’0” to 6’3” in height, weighing approximately 220 to 250 lbs., shoulder length dreads with a black head band. He had medium to dark skin tone and was wearing a black jacket with purple stripes down each arm, brown or tan or camouflage cargo shorts with green or gray “Croc” style shoes.

Anyone with information concerning this incident or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at (225) 389-5000.
