WANTED: Authorities seek two suspects that stole nearly 500 gallons of diesel

The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two unknown suspects who stole nearly 500 gallons of diesel fuel.

The incident occured at the Purpera Super Stop Gas Station located on the corner of Airline Highway and Purpera Avenue on May 29 between 1:30 a.m. and 2:50 a.m.

Video surveillance captured the suspects filling their vehicle and a 55 gallon drum with diesel. The investigation revealed the suspects also had access to switch the pumps to manual to hide the transaction.

The vehicle is a white Ford E series van, ranging from 1992-2013 in model with minor damage to the driver side mid and rear panels. The van has a small antenna on the front mid-roof area, and the passenger side reverse light is also out.
