BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - Just one day after shots were fired at a gas station across from Perkins Rowe - one person was shot dead in another normally quiet part of the parish.
It happened at the Sherwood Acres Apartment Complex on Coursey Boulevard. Deputies say it happened Sunday, Feb. 20 just after 5:00 pm.
Deputies say an argument between two people escalated several hours before. Deputies were called and took the man who didn't live at the place off the property.
Just 2 hours later, deputies were called back to the same apartment for a report of shots fired. We're told the man who was escorted away was back in the apartment, and had been shot dead.
