CALCASIEU PARISH, LA — On March 1, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a local casino regarding a report of a burglary and theft of a vehicle.
The investigation revealed a verbal altercation occurred inside the casino between the victim and Ron A. Boudreaux, 33, of Sulphur, an acquaintance. Following the altercation, Boudreaux went to the victim's vehicle in the parking lot, shattered the front passenger window and stole her cell phone and laptop computer.
During further investigation, detectives with the Vehicle Crimes Investigation Unit were notified by the victim advising them she had recently received numerous intimidating and threatening text messages from Boudreaux.
When questioned by detectives, Boudreaux confirmed he had busted out the victim's front passenger window and had stolen her cell phone and laptop from inside.
On April 5, Boudreaux was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary of a motor vehicle; theft over $500; simple criminal damage to property; and intimidating a victim.
Judge Clayton Davis set his bond at $62,000.
