UPDATE: Several people identified in drug-related shooting on Gerald Street

Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE (1/17/12): Today, Baton Rouge Police say two people who were involved in Sunday's shooting on Gerald Street will not be charged.
They say those two people who fired at three drug dealers, killing two, fired in self-defense and are not responsible for their deaths.
THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Baton Rouge Police have identified several people in Saturday's shooting on Gerald street.
Police have identified Robert Heard, 26, as the man who died on Gerald street Saturday, Jan. 14.
Police say that Heard went to a client's house to buy drugs, that client was John Freeman, 26.
Heard and two other men tried to rob Freeman. That's when a fire fight began ending with two of the robbers injured and Robert Heard dead. Police say a teenager witnessed the attempted robbery and joined in the fire fight. They say it's unclear who shot whom.
Baton Rouge Police Officers say one robber went to the hospital and the third man fled on foot, he's still at large.
The teenager was questioned and released.
Freeman is in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison tonight for the Illegally carrying of a firearm.
