UPDATE: Police seeking man who robbed, kidnapped woman at gunpoint on Airline Hwy

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Karl Bernard Stevenson, 38, Baton Rouge was arrested for the kidnapping and robbery of a female victim on November 8, 2011. Stevenson was placed in East Baton Rouge Parish and charged with Second Degree Kidnapping, Armed Robbery and Access Device Fraud.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Baton Rouge Police Department is on the lookout for a man who robbed and kidnapped a woman in Baton Rouge.
Officials say the attack happened on Tuesday, Nov. 8. We’re told the victim was sitting in her vehicle at the Walgreen’s on Airline Highway. That’s when a man forced his way into her car, pulled out a gun, and forced the woman to withdraw money from an ATM.
The woman was then taken to an abandoned building where she was left with her hands and feet tied up. She managed to break free from her bonds and call Police.
The attacker was caught on camera. He’s described as being a black male, 5’9” tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black T-shirt and black cargo pants.
