UPDATE: Police make arrest in pharmacy burglary

UPDATE: Mark Anthony Ledet, 40, has been arrested and charged with Attempted Theft and Burglary of a Pharmacy with bonds totaling $102,500. 


Thibodaux Police have issued warrants for the arrest of Mark Anthony Ledet, 40, for Attempted Theft and Burglary of a Pharmacy.

On Monday evening, December 24, around 10:00 Thibodaux Police responded to a pharmacy in the 100 block of North Canal Boulevard. An unidentified white male jumped the counter and tried to get away with prescription medication, but fled the store empty handed after being foiled by employees.

Around two hours later, Thibodaux Police responded to an alarm at a pharmacy in the 200 Block of North Canal Boulevard. Police learned through video footage that a white male with a similar description from earlier gained access into the pharmacy, and stole prescription medication. After an investigation, the unknown male was identified as Mark Ledet.
