UPDATE: Man turns himself in for shooting that killed two at birthday party

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WDSU) — UPDATE: According to WDSU, an arrest was made in the shooting death of a 5-year-old girl and a woman.
The suspect, Leo Riles, turned himself in to authorities.
Two additional suspects are being sought by investigators.
ORIGINAL STORY: A birthday party in Central City ended in gunfire with innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
A woman and a 5-year-old girl were killed and three others were injured in a shooting in Central City on Tuesday evening, New Orleans police said.
Investigators said the attack started in the 1200 block of Simon Bolivar Avenue at a birthday party and ended in the 1400 block of the same street.
A girl was shot in the incident and died at a nearby hospital, police said. The young victim was later identified as 5-year-old Brianna Allen.
Officers said a 33-year-old woman was found shot to death inside a car.
A 20-year-old man was shot in the wrist and a 24-year-old man was shot in the face. They were both listed in stable condition.
A 7-year-old boy was shot in the leg and suffered a grazing wound to his face, police said.
The incident happened during a birthday party for the 7-year-old boy in the neighborhood.
Mayor Mitch Landrieu said he has grown tired of the violence.
"This was an amazingly brazen act. I'm furious about it," he told WDSU. "What do you do about a bunch of irrational, uncaring bunch of thugs that really just open fire on a street with tons of people around?"
