UPDATE: Driver charged with seven counts vehicular homicide pleads not guilty

EAST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The alleged drunk driver accused of killing seven people has pleaded not guilty.
Brett Gerald, 30, is facing seven counts of Vehicular Homicide.
His trial date is set for December 10; he faces more than 200 years behind bars if convicted on all charges.
UPDATE: Bond for Brett Gerald has been set at $1 million.
ORIGINAL STORY: The man alleged to have killed seven people in a head on collision in Slaughter is set to be in court this morning.
Brett Gerald, 30, will be in the East Feliciana Parish Courthouse today, Tuesday, June 12, at 9:30 a.m. He will be arraigned on seven counts of Vehicular Homicide.
Gerald faces between five and thirty years in prison on each of the seven counts.
Roderick Johnson, 13, the last surviving passed away Sunday afternoon.
Gerald remains in jail tonight.
