UPDATE: East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives have obtained footage from a nearby convienence store shortly following the shooting Friday evening at 944 Elvin Drive.

Detectives are trying to identify the three persons of interest in the video. Still shots are attached of the two men and one woman detectives would like to speak with.

ORIGINAL: Deputies are tracking down suspects in a shooting incident that resulted in the death of a 19 year old man.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's detectives responded to a call of shots fired on Friday, June 22 shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Elvin Dr.

Prior to arriving on scene, detectives learned that the victim had arrived at a local hospital by private vehicle. Malcolm Fitzgerald Johnson, 19, of Baton Rouge was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

According to reports the victim had a verbal altercation in the street with a group of subjects, at which time one of the subjects allegedly shot the victim. The victim ran back to the vehicle and they transported him to the hospital.
