BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Another man has been arrested for raping a 12 year old Port Allen girl.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Detectives issued a warrant for Jerome Jackson today. He was taken into custody by Port Allen Police this evening and booked on a charge of aggravated rape.
This brings the total number of arrests in the case to 6 men and 1 woman.
The original suspect, Ivy Martin, who was the first to be arrested in connection with this case, has allegedly involved all those arrested in some form or another.
Deputies say Martin allegedly asked Jackson if he wanted to have sex with the girl, and then watched as it happened.
Additionally, the mother of the girl has been summoned to face charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile. In an effort to protect the identity of the juvenile sex victim, the mother’s name will not be released.
The investigation is still ongoing, and we will update you as it develops.
