THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that Joshua Edward Dixon, 19, turned himself in this morning. Dixon is accused of shooting and killing Jarret Deshawn Lacey on Dec. 12, 2011. Dixon has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon.

THIS IS AN NBC33 NEWS UPDATE: Joshua Edward Dixon, 19, of Arcadia Street is wanted by the Baton Rouge Police Department for Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Weapon. Dixon is accused of shooting and killing Jarret Deshawn Lacey, 22, on December 12, 2011 around 12:11pm in the 1400 block of Bellonia St.

ORIGINAL STORY: (12-12-11) - The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 22-year old man. The incident happened around noon on Monday, Dec. 12.

Detectives say Jarret Lacey, 22, of Baton Rouge was found shot to death in the front yard of Bellonia Street.

Witnesses say they saw a young man running from the scene shortly after the sound of gun shots began.
