Uncle, nephew charged with armed robbery of Thibodaux business

A man and his nephew are behind bars for allegedly robbing a business for thousands of dollars.

The Thibodaux Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Nov. 4, 2012 at business located in the 1500 block of Ridgefield Road. We’re told the suspects had their faces covered when they entered the business with guns and began demanding money. They managed to escape with thousands in cash.

Detectives were able to connect Jermaine Coler, 40, and his nephew Bryant Coler, 22, to the crime.

Bryant was already booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a separate charge. He was re-booked with the new charge and an additional bond of $250,000.

Jermaine turned himself in to authorities when he learned about the warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a bond of $250,000.
