Two shot on South 18th Street

BATON ROUGE POLICE DEPARTMENT — Just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday Uniform Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South 18th Street relative to a shooting.
Upon on arrival Officers located a man and a woman who were suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses advised officers that the victims were shot after a fight occurred between two men in the area.
The female victim was hit in the hip, and the male was struck in the upper left side of his chest under his arm. EMS arrived on scene and transported the victims to a local hospital advising that the injury to the female were non life threaten, but the injury to the male was life threatening.
