Two men face charges for allegedly breaking into the home of an acquaintance. Once inside, they allegedly physically abused and sexually attacked the victim.

The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred on June 22. Deputies were dispatched to a home located off Hwy 178 in Opelousas regarding an armed robbery that left the victim hospitalized.

“After speaking with the victim, it was discovered that [the suspects] forced their way into the victims home armed with a baseball bat, a crow bar and brass knuckles with a blade,” Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, said. “The victim knew both of the suspects so it was easy for him to give investigators names and discriptions of the suspects.”

The victim identified Laurence Christopher Lemelle, 30, and Joshua Paul Guillor, 28, both of Church Point.

“A warrant was issued for Guillory and Lemelle on June 22. Both suspects were arrested on June 27 without incident,” Sheriff Guidroz added.

Both men were charged with Home Invasion, Armed Robbery, and Second-Degree Sexual Battery. They are being held in the St. Landry Parish Jail on a bond of $120,000 each.
