ASCENSION PARISH, LA — Two Ascension Parish men were issued summons for littering according to Chief Deputy Tony Bacala of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On October 30, deputies responded to the area of Highway 941, just south of I-10 about a large pile of trash on the side of the roadway.
Deputies safely rummaged through the trash pile to try and identify any suspects. Three pieces of mail were found, all with the same address.
Deputies contacted Ascension Parish Government to clean up the pile of trash, and then proceeded to the address located in the large pile of trash. Deputies were unsuccessful in making contact with someone at the residence.
A short while later, Cody Hallum, 20, and Eric Martin, 18, both of Gonzales both turned themselves in.
They were both issued misdemeanor summons for Littering. Deputies also made them aware of the current parish ordinance regarding littering.
