Two high school students sent to hospital after eating cupcakes containing marijuana

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The Baton Rouge Police Department says all three students involved in this case were arrested.
We’re told the student involved with supplying the laced cupcakes had roughly 14 of them in his possession. He’s been charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute.
Two students started vomiting after eating the cupcakes they purchased. They too have been charged with Possession of Marijuana.
All three students were processed and released into the custody of their parents.
ORIGINAL STORY: Two high school students were taken to a local hospital for treatment today after they ate cupcakes that were reportedly laced with marijuana.
Emergency responders were called to McKinley High School just before 1:00 p.m. That’s because a male and female student were reportedly suffering side effects from marijuana-spiked snacks.
The students were transported to a local hospital for treatment. We’re told both are now in stable condition.
Sources also tell NBC33 News that a third student has been implicated in the ordeal as the supplier of the marijuana.
