Two Eunice men arrested for using city vehicles to buy and sell drugs

Eunice, La (NBC33) — Two Eunice city employees have been arrested on a slew of drug charges.
Both Clarence Arceneaux and Josh Dupre operated their drug business while on the clock; furthermore, city vehicles were used to pick up and distribute large amounts of drugs.
The two men confessed to picking up as much as four pounds of marijuana at a time while on city time. The drugs were packaged and then delivered in the city vehicles.
Officers found a half-pound of marijuana, 30 doses of ecstasy, crack pipes, handguns, and various drug paraphernalia items used to smoke the drugs or process the drugs for delivery.
Marijuana was also smoked by the men while in city vehicles.
Both men had prior arrests for felony drug charges, among other charges.
Arceneaux was charged with Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal use of CDS in the Presence of Persons under 17 years of age, Violation of the Uniform CDS Law (school zone) 2 counts, and Malfeasance in Office.
Dupre was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Narcotics, Distribution of Schedule 2 Narcotics, Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 2 Narcotics, Possession of Schedule 2 Narcotics (2 counts), Violation of the Uniform CDS Law (2counts), Distribution of Schedule 1 Narcotics, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Persons Under 17 years of age, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, and Malfeasance in Office.
The malfeasance in office charges stem from operating a drug enterprise while on the city payroll being paid hourly.
