Two Breaux Bridge men arrested on several drug counts

Two men are behind bars after a plethora of drugs were found in their home.

On June 24, the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit investigated a home that had suspected illegal drug activity on Castille Street in Breaux Bridge.

In the residence were Broderick Sylvester, 25, and Sidney Sylvester, 53.

Inside the residence, Agents located crack cocaine base, cocaine HCL, marijuana, hydrocodone tablets, synthetic marijuana, and firearms. One of the firearms was discovered to be stolen from Lafayette. Agents seized cash and a vehicle.

Broderick Sylvester was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS Crack Cocaine, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS Synthetic Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule III CDS Hydrocodone Watson 385, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule III CDS Hydrocodone Watson 780, Possession of Schedule I CDS Marijuana, Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II Cocaine HCL, Possession of a Firearm With Obliterated Serial Numbers, Possession of Firearm by a Person Convicted of a Felony, Possession of Firearm in the Presence of a CDS, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Sidney Sylvester was charged with Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS Crack Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
