Two arrests made in conjunction with Jade Street shooting

THIS IS AN NBC33 UPDATE - After an empassioned plea from the sheriff, two arrests were made for the shooting that happened on Jade Street in Baton Rouge.

Joshua Daigre, 20, and Glen Foster, 19, were arrested by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office.

Both men were arrested the morning of March 30 in connection with the homicide that happened on March 28.

Daigre was charged with Manslaughter.

Yesterday, East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux held a press conference.

Gautreaux stated the Jade Street shooting is the 9th homicide investigation the department has worked since the beginning of the year. He added that this time last year, the sheriff's had no working investigations.

THIS IS A NBC33 UPDATE - VCU detectives arrived on the scene and learned that the victim had been chased by several other subjects. When they caught up to the victim someone punched him and he fell to the ground.

After this, one of the suspects shot the victim and then all of the suspects fled.

The victim has been identified as Larry D. Williams, 19.

No suspects or motives have been identified.

A 19 year old has been shot and killed last night in Baton Rouge.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Jade Street--that's in the Gardere area. Witnesses told NBC 33 they heard 4 to 5 gun shots.

Authorities have not release anymore information--- we'll keep you updated on this story.
