Two arrested for synthetic canaboid at Iberia Parish store

NEW IBERIA, LA (NBC33) — Two people were arrested for allegedly selling synthetic canaboid in Iberia Parish.
Agents arrested Keith Henry, 53, of New Iberia and Heather Derouen, 31, of New Iberia for their involvement with the operation.
Henry is the owner of Sinsations located on Center Street, New Iberia. A warrant for the store was issued and it was searched on January 3, 2012. During the search officials say large amounts of the synthetic canaboid were located.
Henry was charged with 6 counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I narcotics (synthetic canaboid), possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, monies derived from drug transactions, possession of schedule II (cocaine), possession of schedule I (marijuana) and conspiracy.
Derouen, who is the manager of the business, was charged with 6 counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I narcotics (synthetic canaboid) and conspiracy. Both suspects were booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
