Two arrested for providing false identities during traffic stop

HAMMOND, LA — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports the arrest two subjects after falsifying their identity during a traffic stop.
On Sunday, July 1, Deputy John Edwards conducted traffic stop on a green Dodge pickup. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, two of the three subjects provided Deputy Edwards with false information regarding their identity.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that Brian Jones, 48, of Ponchatoula and Marilyn Byrd, 47, of Hammond were occupying the vehicle along with the driver.
Brian Jones was subsequently taken into custody for Resisting Arrest. Marilyn Byrd was additionally charged with Resisting and with having an outstanding FTA with the 21st JDC and several open warrants with Hammond PD.
