Two arrested for possession of meth, firearms

KENTWOOD, LA — On May 08, two Kentwood residents were arrested as the result of a month long on going narcotics investigation. James Kieth Luper and Tracie Booty Luper were charged with being in possession of a firearm while in possession of a dangerous and controlled substance (methamphetamines).
A search warrant was executed at a home on Wyndotte Rd. in Kentwood which revealed the presence of 1 shake and bake meth lab and numerous articles of precursor materials used for the manufacturing of methamphetamines. Theses items were located inside of the residence along with several pistols and rifles. Large amounts of methamphetamines were also located within the residence.
Both subjects were arrested and charged accordingly.
