Two arrested for drug distribution in Baker

BAKER, LA — On Friday, April 20, Baker Police executed a search warrant that produced two arrests, and the discovery of illegal narcotics and a firearm. Police arrested Eric George, 20, and Reginald George, 49, both of Cypress Drive in Baker, after the Baker Special Response Team (S.R.T.) served a search warrant for the residence.
Once inside, officers found a large quantity of marijuana inside the residence, along with a paraphernalia used to facilitate individual sales. In addition, officers recovered a firearm, which was later discovered to have been listed as stolen from another location in East Baton Rouge.
Eric George was a documented member of the "Zoo Boyz," also had outstanding warrants for Possession of Controlled Substances through Baker and East Baton Rouge. He was booked with Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm with Controlled Dangerous Substances, Possession of Schedule IV, Possession of Stolen Firearm, Possession of CDS in Presence of Minors, Possession of CDS in School Zone, 2nd Offense Possession of Marijuana, and 2 Fugitive Warrants - Poss. of Marijuana out of Baker & EBRSO.
Reginald George, who was later discovered to be on parole, had been arrested with illegal narcotics on his person. He was booked with third Offense Poss. of Marijuana and ParoleViolation Hold.
