SCOTT, LA — A man was arrested for running a meth lab out of his home and the woman at the home with him was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
On Tuesday, May 29, Scott Police Officers responded to the 100 Block of Blazer Drive in reference to a possible Meth Lab.
Officers arrived on scene and observed individuals exiting the suspected residence. Upon further investigation it appeared that possible illegal activity was occurring at which time officers obtained permission to check the residence.
Once inside officers observed chemicals inside the residence commonly used to produce the drug Crystal Meth. Further searching uncovered a plastic container inside a dresser drawer with a plastic hose sticking out. Officers evacuated the residence and Lafayette Fire Department Hazard Materials Team was called to the scene.
The team suited up in their equipment and entered the residence. Recovered from the location were several chemicals all known to be used to manufacture Crystal Meth along with actively used containers containing the byproducts of Crystal Meth.
After additional questioning of the suspects, officers were able to confirm that Michael Arnold was in fact producing Crystal Meth inside at the location.
Officers also arrested Misty Stockstill, 24, for Failure to appear on hearing for revocation of probation.
Both were booked into Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on listed charges.
