Two arrested after outstanding warrants lead officers to home with drugs

THIBODAUX, LA (NBC33) — Outstanding warrants led officers to arrest two men for additional charges after they discovered drugs in the home.
The Thibodaux Police Department reports that the incident occurred on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at around noon. We’re told officers went to the home of Andrew Davis, Sr., because he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. Officials say the officers could smell marijuana when they arrived at the home on St. Charles Street.
Police found Andrew Davis Sr., who was placed under arrest, and Floyd Davis III, who was discovered to have active warrants, inside of the home.
After producing a search warrant, Officers located marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside the home. Police also located a bottle with urine in it, which they believe was to be used to pass a drug screening.
Andrew Davis, Sr., 27, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (2nd), Attempting to Unlawfully Provide a Substance for Screening Test, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Arrest Warrants for Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment and Simple Criminal Damage to Property, along with a Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Seat Belt Violation.
Floyd Davis III, 48, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (2nd), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and a Terrebonne Bench Warrant from Failure to Pay Child Support.
