Troopers discover 50 pounds of marijuana during I-20 traffic stop

Lincoln Parish, La — During the morning hours of April 24, a state trooper stopped a 2012 Chrysler 200 for a traffic violation on I-20 eastbound west of Ruston in Lincoln Parish which lead to the discovery of marijuana in the vehicle.
Troopers, along with K-9 “Senda,” located approximately 50 pounds of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle with an estimated street value of $75,000.
The driver, Moran Conley, 24, of Hattiesburg, MS, was charged with Improper Lane Use, Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana.
The passenger, Ricky Carter, 30, of Petal, MS, was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Distribute and Conspiracy to Distribute Marijuana.
Carter and Conley were booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center.
