TPSO looking for Natalbany murder suspect

UPDATE: W. Nunnery has turned himself in to TPSO Detectives. He is currently being processed and charged with second degree murder. 


The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reported that deputies are searching for a murder suspect, 19-year-old Wilkaman Nunnery of Natalbany, LA.

The murder happened late Thursday night at Roy’s Night Club in Natalbany.

According to reports from the TPSO, two men were fighting in the club at about 11:40 p.m.

Nunnery intervened in the fight and pulled out a handgun, aiming it at 17-year-old D’Markus McKnight of Hammond.

Nunnery fired one shot at McKnight. As the victim fell to the ground, Nunnery fired two more shots at him.

McKnight died from his gunshot wounds.

Nunnery ran from the scene. Authorities have issued a warrant for his arrest on the charge of second degree murder.

The bar was also cited for having an underage person inside at the time.
