Tip leads to arrest after bodies found in trunk

This is an NBC33 News update: A second suspect has been arrested this morning. 30-year old Patrick Ramerez of Baton Rouge was taken into custody by US Marshals in Lake Charles. He has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder.

BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) -- Less than 24 hours after two bodies are found in the trunk of a car in North Baton Rouge, a man is arrested for the murders.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies say 30-year old Kendrick Johnson of Baton Rouge shot and killed 27-year old Jarrett Stanley of Lake Charles and 25 year old Latonya Wright of Baton Rouge.

The victims were being saught out by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office for a previous case. You can read about that by clicking here.

Johnson is charged with two counts of first degree murder.

An anonymous tip led police to the bodies. More information about this case is expected to be released Wednesday afternoon.
