Three teens face multiple charges for shooting spree
BOYCE, LA (KALB) — Three teenagers from Boyce, La are behind bars and facing nearly a half a dozen charges tonight. They're accused of going on a shooting spree - targeting homes and cars around town.
Darius Williams, 19, and Jamar Fisher, 17, were arrested Sunday, Sept. 18 and are accused of various counts of Attempted First Degree murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal use of a Weapon, Criminal Conspiracy and Contributing to the Delinquency of a minor.
An unnamed juvenile is also facing multiple charges.
The teens are suspected of shooting at two homes in Boyce and at least four cars on I-49, Hwy 1 and Hwy 1200.
“As vehicles would pass they would shoot at the vehicles up to three to four times each with bullets lodging in the vehicles visors,” Sheriff Chuck Wagner, Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, explained. “These vehicles were occupied by individuals -- some of them had multiple individuals in them. We are very lucky no one was injured."
The teens are accused of carrying a rifle and traveling using a 4-wheeler. Town leaders in Boyce say this type of violence is uncharacteristic for the area.
