Baton Rouge police arrested three teens over the weekend for allegedly hurting a police officer.

The incident happened late Saturday night at the Chili's on Constitution Avenue.

The officer was working a detail at the restaurant, and approached a customer about using foul language toward the employees.

The officer was then attacked from behind by three people and fell to the floor; the teens allegedly started kicking and hitting him.

Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. stated, "He suffered minor injuries and required a few stitches for a laceration, but besides that he was fine.”

Police arrested Rodney Lee and Dequincy McCray, both 17, and Rineisha Smith, 18, for Second-Degree Battery, Disturbing the Peace and Resisting an Officer with Violence.
