Two men are in law enforcement custody following a high-speed multi-parish chase.

At around 11 p.m. on Monday, Cameron Parish deputies spotted a suspicious car with no license plate on Highway 385. When they tried to stop the vehicle, the driver sped away.

Once the car entered Calcaseiu Parish, their deputies joined in on the pursuit at the intersection of McNeese Street and Louisiana Avenue. At this point, the chase reached speeds of more than 100 mph and ended in a crash into a metal fence and a parked vehicle at the Holiday Inn, located at the intersection of Highway 15 and Opelousas Street.

The front passenger, 22-year old Cody M. Gobert of Lake Charles, jumped out of the vehicle and ran, but was quickly caught by a K-9 unit.

The driver, 22-year old Justin K. Miller of Lake Charles, and another passenger, 21-year old Jamall J. Miller of Lake Charles, were also arrested.

During a search of the car, deputies found numerous tools with duct tape wrapped around the handles, a large vehicle jack, gloves, and several other burglary tools.

Detectives revealed Gobert and Justin Miller were trying to steal a 4-wheeler in Cameron Parish, and fled when the authorities arrived.

Justin Miller and Gobert were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

Miller, who was wanted through LA Probation and Parole for a probation violation, is charged with aggravated flight from an officer, possession of burglary tools, driving under suspension and reckless operation.

Gobert is charged with possession of burglary tools and resisting an officer. Their bonds are still pending.

Jamall J. Miller was released with charges pending.
