Three arrested for at least 36 burglaries in Gardere area
BATON ROUGE, LA — East Baton Rouge Armed Robbery and Burglary detectives arrested three people, two adults and one juvenile, believed to be responsible for at least 36 burglaries in the Gardere area from October 2011 to January 2012.
The three allegedly robbed various residences in the Westhaven, Springlake and Old Hermitage subdivisions during the three month period stealing electronics, jewelry and guns. Detectives gathered evidence left at the scenes and were able to link the three to the burglaries.
Detectives have recovered more than $100,000 worth of stolen goods and are in the process of contacting victims to return the items. Additional charges may be pending.
Andrew Hairston, 17, of Azalea Park is charged with 4 counts of Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and 3 counts of Theft
Kevin Robertson, 20, of Fountain Ave. is charged 19 counts of Simple Burglary, 5 counts of Aggravated Burglary, 14 counts of Felony Theft of a Firearm, 5 counts Theft of Firearm and 7 counts Attempted Theft
A15-year-old male is charged with 30 counts of Simple Burglary, 6 counts Aggravated Burglary, 1 count Attempted Simple Burglary, 23 Counts Theft, 12 counts of Attempted Theft and 6 counts Theft of Firearm.
