SHEVEPORT, LA (KMSS) — Three people were booked into jail Thursday afternoon following an ongoing investigation into a fatal shooting that happened last week in west Shreveport.
On Saturday, October 12 at approximately 1:30 a.m., authorities were called to the 3700 block of Hearne Avenue to investigate the shooting death of Johnathan Davis, 28, who died from a gunshot wound to the back. Davis was shot during an exchange of gunfire between a group of subjects gathered on the parking lot of a convenience store.
During the investigation, detectives viewed surveillance video from a store and later released pictures of two vehicles police believe were involved in the crime. Since the release, a local woman and two men have been connected to the case.
Authorities arrested Natarsha Howard, 26, and Carlos Edwards, 27, along with Terry Johnson, 19, all of Shreveport, in connection to the murder. Howard faces one count of accessory and second degree murder. Edwards and Johnson both face charges of second degree murder.
Following interviews with detectives, all three suspects were subsequently booked into the Shreveport City Jail. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing at this hour.
