Thieves rob 5 men at gunpoint in New Iberia

Detectives are looking for two black men who robbed and attacked a group of people.

Lt. Richard Fleming, an Iberia Parish Sheriff’s spokesperson, says the two black men forced their way into an apartment in the 900 block of Oak Street, and demanded money from five people at gunpoint.

Three of the victims had minor injuries after one suspect beat the with a handgun.

Fleming describes the two suspects as:

Suspect 1. Black male, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs. with dread locks, wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and a black ski mask. This suspect had a tattoo on the inside of his right bicep with the letters FAR from elbow to arm pit.

Suspect 2. Black male, approximately 5’8” tall, weighing approximately 150 lbs. wearing a green shirt, jeans and a black mask.
