Thibodaux man arrested for attacking girlfriend after breaking into her home twice

A man was arrested after he allegedly went into his girlfriend’s home twice on the same and attacked her.

The Thibodaux Police Department reports that the incident happened on Thursday, Aug. 8 shortly after 11:00 p.m. We’re told the suspect, Jamal Joseph, 27, illegally entered the home located on East Park Drive of his girlfriend.

Joseph had fled the scene prior to police arrival. However, he returned to the home roughly one hour later and attacked her a second time, causing her injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. She had a fractured ankle and bruising.

A warrant was issued for Joseph’s arrest and he was taken into custody on Monday, Aug. 12. They located him after they found the bike he’s known to ride outside a home.

Joseph is charged with Home Invasion. He was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. His bond was set at $100,000.
