Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A student at Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge set himself on fire to avoid police.
The school drug task force says they were conducting a narcotics investigation, when police say the 16-year-old suspect lit his shirt on fire during a confrontation.
Officials used a fire extinguisher on the teen. He was then transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The student may be charged with possession of marijuana.
