SHREVEPORT, LA — Authorities are searching for a vehicle involved in an early morning hit and run accident that sent a local teenager to the hospital.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. this morning in the 1800 block of David Raines Road in north Shreveport.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 15-year old girl suffering from injuries after being hit by a vehicle that fled the scene. The teen was taken to a hospital with a possible broken leg.

Witnesses described the vehicle that hit the girl as a white Lincoln Town Car with a rag top, custom wheels, tinted windows and a missing passenger side mirror. Anyone with information of this crime is urged to call Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373 or Shreveport police at (318) 673-6955.
