Teen death: Drug dispute ends in bloodshed, suspect in custody

PLAQUEMINE, LA (NBC33) — A 17-year-old was killed this afternoon during a shooting on Allen Street in Plaquemine.
The Plaquemine Police Department reports that the victim, Wilbert Myles, was shot to death during an altercation. The suspect, Cordias Walker, 22, turned himself into police when they arrived on scene. He told police that he shot Myles in self-defense.
Officials say the two were fighting over drugs. They have not yet substantiated the claim of self-defense.
Walker is being booked into the Iberville Parish Jail on one count of Second-Degree Murder.
