Teen boy, woman sent to the hospital after separate shooting incidents

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The Baton Rouge Police Department has confirmed that the two victims include a 14 year old boy and a 23 year old female. We’re told the 14 year old boy was shot in his lower leg and the female was shot in her ankle.
Both victims were inside of their homes when the shootings occurred. The teen was located in a home on North 16th Street. The female was in a home on the 2000 block of North 15th Street.
No suspect or motive has been identified at this time.

ORIGINAL: The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to two separate shootings that sent two people to the hospital.
EMS works confirmed to NBC33 News that two patients were transported to a local hospital within the past hour. Both were suffering from single bullet wounds and both appear to be non life threatening.
The shootings happened on North 16th Street and 15th Street around the same time. It is unknown whether the two incidents are related.
